I have turned off all power savings options in the battery settings as well as the GPU. Once connected to the charger, it boosts back up to 75W. I did some trial and error and found out that when the laptop is just running on battery, the GPU stays at 40W power limit. But in most cases it is not using more than 40w even for Red dead 2 and only giving 28fps at high settings. At first I thought there's a CPU bottleneck but I only ever use my laptop in an room with AC and i have a fun underneath it to keep the CPU temperature at around 50-60 degree celcius even when gaming. 1 I bought a gf65 thin with i5 10500h and a max q rtx 3060 rated with a tgp of 75 w. I really don't know why it doesn't stay at 75W and i can't really find out the root cause of this. Normally I could run Witcher 3 on max settings at around 90fps, that is when the laptop is using the full 75W of power the GPU is rated for. The problem i have is sometimes, the GPU voltage would throttle down to 40W and would affect the performance of the video games i play. I have a newly bought MSI GF65 Thin 10UE Laptop.
